Frequently Asked Questions
We are only 4 1/2 miles from I-40 and another 12 miles into downtown Nashville.
We very seldom allow a dog, we do not allow cats, this is mostly due to allergies (both mine and some people who want to stay here). The only exceptions we make are for a small, mature, non-shedding dog – no more than 15 pounds. Requirements: your dog must be at least 2 years old, familiar with traveling and OK with being left alone in an unfamiliar place. We must ask that you crate your dog while you’re gone, due to some dogs showing unexpected behavior, causing damage to our furnishings. There’s a “one-time” non-refundable, $35 pet fee. You MUST inquire with us first.
There are two ponds on our property, one is 12 ft. deep and we are not licensed to allow anyone under 15, and our minimum allowable age is 25 unless coming with a parent and 15 or older. Please know that we have NOTHING against children, we have three grandchildren, but our rentals were built specifically for adults.

Yes. Our Magnolia cabin and Uncle Pete’s Cabin have very nice, “two-person” whirlpool tubs. The tub in the Magnolia cabin is a bit more spacious, of the two. Above both tubs, we have installed a beautiful chandelier with a dimmer switch to provide a romantic touch.
Yes, Percy Priest Lake is only 6 miles away and there are several marinas and fishing areas. You can also rent boats there. Long Hunter State Park is also part of the lake area. Check it out in our area attractions.
